Now I just wonder if my Dear Auntie even bothered to read-up the opposition party manifesto & give the opposition party a chance to highlight what they can offer.

So who is bias-er, me who have witness what PAP have done and listen to what opposition party can/willing to offer or my dear auntie who intend to cast her vote base on historical encounters?

Today I witness my aunt lost her mother & my cousins loses their grandmother. Nyai Saadiah was 2 year older than my dad when she passed on. Alhamdulilah she left this world in a good manner. I hope her husband will find the strength to continue his journey without his beloved wife of 40something years.

WOW~ Last day in Hong Kong! We took the last flight out. Before that we went to this stretch of street that sells pets necessities (anything from the needs of dogs to hamsters). I think we alighted at Prince Edward stop and we had to walk for about 5 mins before we could reach the area.

Obviously I was the only who went nuts! I feel so tempted to buy for Monty & Oreo something, but I realise stuff like cats/dogs t-shirt & toys are much cheaper at the night market. However, the one here are of course of a certain quality, which also mean more $$$$.

So the 4 of us just kept walking aimlessly to see as much HK as possible.

At the end of it all I realise one of the small thing that made my day was walking in the street with temperature somewhere around 18 deg & on my hand was a bottle of warm vitasoy. I think whenever the thought of HK comes to mind this would be it. Cold weather, warm vitasoy & endless streets of shops.

On the second day our plan was to explore Tsim Sha Tsui (that’s where most of the museum are). Since, we were at Mong Kok we took a train down to Tsim Sha Tsui which is about 3 stops away. I can’t remember the exact amount the ride cost us but its about 90cents (SGD). Syarfa’s dad told her to visit Nathan Road, but he left out which part of Nathan Road. As Nathan Road stretches from Mong Kok all the way to Tsim Sha Tsui.

According to my dear friend Syarfa (& her 2 sisters) it’s going to be 14 degrees or may be colder. So dear Shile was armed with thick winter jacket, which she didn’t get to use because.. the temperature was about 17 to 19 degrees and Shile’s intensive training in her air-condition room back in Singapore made the weather bearable for her. Oh, Shile lasted the whole day without any help from any kind of jacket whatsoever. As for RS, he love every bit of the cooling weather because it means.. no wet armpit for him!

1. Starbucks

Starbucks Coffee for breakfast. I just realise one of the best combination, Hot Latte & Winter. Ahhhhhhh! We manage to get the Starbucks with the kinda of the view that you can not find in Singapore.

2. 1881Herritage

1881 Heritage used to serve as the Headquarters of Hong Kong Marine Police. The Victorian architecture makes me fall in love with the building the moment I lay my eyes on it. The building now serves as a high-end shopping mall. As we did not intend to spend our money anywhere other than H&M and of course the streets market, we skipped all the shops (besides, we cld prolly only afford their paper bags hahaha). Since x’mas was around the corner,
x’mas decorations everywhere!

3. Museum

Well, according to our good friend Polly (who went to HK about few months before us), anyone can enter the museum for on Wednesday. so we did! RS said that this trip should not be only about shopping. we need to learn something. so taadaa. I plan for us to catch a 3D show at HK science museum, but it turn out that majority of the shows are in cantonese. English shows have designated timing, so we skip. The only regret i have was to not learn ANY history of HK. i think that gives me a good reason to go back to HK.

4. Lunch @ 36-44 Nathan Road

The place is huge but the sign board for “36-44 Nathan Road” is so freaking tiny. I think I saw it by chance. Lunch wasn’t hard at all! I think at 36-44 Nathan Road there’s have more than 5 halal cafe, but the cafes/restaurants mostly serve Indian food or Turkish food. so it was either curry or kebab! I think the restaurant we had lunch was Sharma or Shama. The food was ok. The portion was more than enough. We only ordered 3 plates of rice and it was more than enough for the four of us. Our lunch consist of curry, 4 pieces of tandori chicken and 3 plate of rice and it sums up to about SGD 30.

5. Symphony of Lights at 8pm

The show was in fact interesting. But it wasn’t something that we had never seen before. Everyone cramped up like sardine. Honestly, I think me & shile paid about 50% attention on the lights & another 50% of our attention goes to the  the group of tourist whom we assumed was from some rural part of mainland china. their reaction was classic! one light change from green to red, reaction “WAAAAAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”, another set lights changes colour, “OUUUUUHHH WAAAAHHHHH” and it goes on through out. why would I lie.

After a long day of walking, we continued walking.. at the night street market!

While waiting at the departure terminal, I got interview by a lady from “Singapore Talking”. They were basically asking me some questions pertaining low-cost carrier. I think the show airs on the 15 December 2010 at 9 or 10pm.
Let’s just hope I don’t look/sound like a complete idiot.

Before I board up the plane I managed to snap this picture. However, some guy (probably from the security department) signalled that I shouldn’t be doing that. What the hell! How often will I have planes lined-up in front of me. 

I don’t know why but I find the boarding pass damn amusing. I thought they went “over board” on the budget side.

Since we can’t be bothered to buy the overpriced in-flight food or beverages, we were hungry bungry by the time we touchdown. I tried to look for Popeyes in the airport (because it’s Halal there) but no one could help me to navigate my way there including the sales stuff at the arrival hall. Plus, the rest would like to reach the hotel a.s.a.p so that we could explore the area around the hotel. So they end up grabbing some fish burgers and I bought some bread from 7-11. We took a cab from the airport to Mong Kok. We decided to go with taxi as we realised that the MTR would cost us slightly more. With the luggage and all, the cab seems more convenient.

By the time we reach the hotel, we got excited with our suite. So we spend about 15-25 mins going gu-gu-ga-ga over our room before we decide explore our hotel surroundings. Below is the map where our hotel is located.

filming was not as easy as we have anticipated. with syarfa can’t stop laughing. me mixing up all my friends name during filming. caris having problem pronouncing ‘abundant’. aisyah can not stop swaying / rocking the chair. steph & qy for their overly-dramatic expressions.

Ladies, thanks for helping me out with the projects. My contribution wasn’t as much as compared to any of you individually. thanks love, for being wonderful through out this learning journey.

start the day, attend lecture, project meeting, rush back home, break fast, to the mosque for terawih, stay up to do project, sleep or more like nap, sahur, nap, get ready school and the cycle starts all over again.

its hard to chose between one, to stay in school and finish the project orrrr rush back home for terawih. i know projects is damn important…

but the benefits of terawih is more long-lasting (in the after life).

oh God help me to juggle. give me the strength to balance.
